ABSL presentation concerning the business services sector

Poland is an unquestioned leader in the business services sector in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of the number of centers (over 400) and the number of employees (110 000).

From January 2012 to the present 23,500 new employment positions have been added. Poland effectively competes over outsourcing projects with such countries as India or China and is already one of top five locations on the global business services map.

The key locations for business process offshoring are Krakow, Warsaw, Wrocław, Tri-City and Łódź. The prevailing majority of centers are Business Processes Outsourcing (BPO) centers, Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) centers and Shared Service Centers (SSC). Each year the number of Research and Development (R&D) centers is growing.

More and more centers are running increasingly advanced, knowledge-based projects. According to ABSL data, the great majority of businesses analysed (71%) declared the introduction of more advanced activities without decreasing the existing scope of services rendered..

According to Everest Group , Poland is the most "mature location" for offshoring in Europe and one of top 5 mature locations in the world - the others being India, the Philippines, China, and Brazil. More and more centers of strategic importance for international organizations are now located in Poland. Those centers are the key units in Europe or even in the EMEA region.
